For those who are planning to visit or transit through Guatemala, we found 2 clinics in Copan Ruinas that does both the Antigen and PCR Covid Test. The prices below are for the antigen test. Just double the price for PCR Test.

LABORATORIO TABORA (Google Maps)

This is where we had our antigen test, mostly because of the price and location – very close to Parque Central and our hostel.

Here’s a detailed checklist:

• 1120 Lempira for Antigen Test (Tourist/Foreign price) regardless whether test is done on weekdays or weekends
• Printed certificate in Spanish
• Got the result in less than an hour
• They don’t provide PDF/Email copy of the result
• Result only has your name, gender, age, date of test and result (with of course their official seal/details etc)
• NO passport number or QR Code
• According to them, this is acceptable in Guatemala border
• Address: Bo. El Centro, Calle de Independencia Copan Ruinas (or you can just search in Google maps LABORATORIO TABORA)
• Opening Hours: Monday to Friday 7am-5pm / Sat 7am-12nn / Sunday closed

CENTRO MEDICO PENIEL (Google Maps)

Another clinic we found in Copan Ruinas, their antigen test is slightly more expensive than Laboratorio Tabora.

Here’s the detailed checklist:

• 1200 Lempira for Antigen Test (Tourist/Foreign price) on WEEKDAYS
• 1600 Lempira for Antigen Test (Tourist/Foreign price) on WEEKENDS
• Accdg to them, you will get the result in 1 hour
• If you search CLINICA PENIEL in Google maps, it’ll show you a closed entrance door with their details. THIS IS NOT THEIR CLINIC.
• ACTUAL LOCATION is: search in googlemaps CASA DEL CONSTRUCTOR, their clinic is the BLUE PAINTED building in front of Casa Del Constructor
• Opening Hours: 24/7

For travelers currently in Copan Ruinas, these two are your best bets. The receptionist in Laboratorio Tabora can speak some English and is very friendly and helpful.
