The Unexpected Journey Begins

The beginning of our bittersweet journey to Montenegro.

This is it (or so we thought)! The time we have been preparing for months. Exciting times and full of hope for a new beginning after being in Singapore for 13 years.. Gave away all our stuff down to 1 luggage each & oh boy, we were shocked how we’ve accumulated so much stuff over the years that we don’t really need.

Took our PCR Test and flew via Turkish Airlines. It’s our first time to fly again since Covid and it made us giddy just stepping foot in an airport after being stuck for more than a year. It was a totally different travel experience, Changi Airport was close to empty, we’ve never seen it with so little people before, shops were mostly closed and there was only 1 lounge open. Unlike before, there’s no buffet, instead they will give a menu to choose from.

We boarded and there were very few passengers on board, had the plane almost all to ourselves. Having 2 empty seats beside me, I’ll gladly take it, it’s a long flight after all.

We had a connecting flight in Istanbul and wow it really is one of the busiest airport in the world! We didn’t expect so many people travelling during this time but it was exciting to see so many travellers again as if covid never happened.
